Nyesha Roberts, RMP
Nyesha is a Registered Massage Practitioner, practicing massage since 2013 in the Baltimore area. Nyesha believes massage is useful and effective method to release physical and emotional stress while increasing mind and body awareness.Having a clinical approach, Nyesha strives to bring the body to anatomical position to ease discomfort. Treatment is customized around the muscular structures and energetic properties in and around the body. Nyesha incorporates Warm/Cold Stones, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Cupping and Myofascial release based on goals set prior to the session. She also offers these modalities to pregnant clients.
Jennie Herb, RMP
Jennie Herb, a Registered Massage Therapist, graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2007. Jennie incorporates Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, Cupping Therapy and Myofascial Release in her massage as is appropriate to the individual needs of each client. Jennie believes that massage is an effective tool for relieving both mental and physical stress and that massage plays an important part in overall wellness.
Molly Farwell, LMT
Molly is a Maryland-licensed massage therapist (LMT) and certified practitioner of Integrative Reflexology (R), graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute, in Silver Spring, MD. Her training includes over 100 hours of study and practice in trauma-informed care within and beyond the bodywork field. Her previous work as an immigration legal assistant inspired a passion for working with survivors of gender-based and domestic violence to re-integrate touch as a safe, nurturing, and empowering experience.
Molly employs a gentle, slow approach to bodywork therapy, which is recommendable for treating persons suffering from stress-related tension and chronic pain. Gentle bodywork practices, including yoga, massage, and other techniques, are gradually becoming recognized as effective treatment options for PTSD and other stress-related pathologies.
Stephanie Barger, RMP
After beginning her massage practice here in Baltimore in 2010, Stephanie’s love for the healing arts has continued to expand in the Metta community. Whether it be for better pain management, improving mobility and postural awareness, or to alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression, she will work with your goals for massage to help you nurture your own sense of well-being. She blends gentle, yet effective deep tissue and trigger point methods with mobilization via myofascial unwinding and interpretations of the Trager Approach, along with cupping, aromatherapy, Swedish and sports massage to address any body tensions and/or holding patterns. And being a true Earth-Sun sign, Steph always invites/incorporates the healing presence of plants, plant oils, and stone and crystal medicines to more deeply facilitate an overall balance of body, mind, and Self
Stephanie is Maryland Registered, NCBTMB Board Certified, and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. When she isn’t massaging, she tends to all of the plants at both Metta locations, as well as her own plant family, and can most likely be found exploring local minerals and geology.
Courtney Culley, RMP
Courtney is a licensed registered massage practitioner in the state of Maryland. Over the past 6 years, she has gained the knowledge and experience to provide goal oriented services for her clientele. She specializes in a multitude of modalities including, deep tissue, swedish, pre and post-natal massage, reflexology, cupping therapy, sports massage, and stretching. Together we can build a custom plan to achieve your wellness goals. Courtney is also a professional Tarot reader, event and ritual facilitator, and proud Momma.
Nathan Nevius, LMT
Nathan offers a collective therapeutic expertise with an emphasis in fascial distortion therapy. Predominantly, he works with issues of chronic pain, muscle soreness, chronic fatigue, and stress. As a former acrobat and children’s gymnastics coach, Nathan also knows first hand about the physical challenges that come with intensive physical activity. He can skillfully help facilitate safe and effective maintenance of the body.
Nathan is a NCBTMB Board Certified, Stated licensed massage therapist, and has been in practice since 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Maryland, and is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Fascia Research Society.
Lindsay George, RMP
Lindsay graduated from the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore and is a Nationally Certified Registered Massage Practitioner. Having grown up in a holistic household, she was drawn to massage therapy at an early age. Impassioned with the idea of mind/body connection, she brings a nurturing energy to each session. She has had training in various modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, Lomi-Lomi, myofascial release, Reiki, and cupping, which she intuitively incorporates into her work. Combining that with a slow, soothing touch, she aims to help each client find balance, peace, and body awareness.
Dawn Blais, LMT
Sarah Strahorn, LMT
Sarah Strahorn has been practicing massage therapy for 19 years in the Baltimore area. Her first love is deep tissue. She enjoys combining trigger point work, sports stretching, traction, and myofascial to offer her clients relaxation and pain relief for days!
Sarah believes that massage should be deep- and deeply relaxing ; a combination of breathing, focused body awareness, and positive visualization. She enjoys working with athletes, senior citizens, pregnant women, office workers, artists, nurses, accountants etc. Sarah strives to listen to the subtle and not so subtle messages that people’s bodies send. She is ever evolving and sharpening her powers of observation in her quest to be a healing presence in the world.

Lainie Smith is a Nationally Certified and Maryland State Licensed Massage Therapist. A graduate from the Holistic Massage Training Institute of Baltimore, she specializes in therapeutic massage, energy work, and whole body healing therapies. Her innovative approach to holistic wellness offers an array of services that can assist you in reconnecting your body, mind, and soul. With practices such as Reiki, relaxation massage, shiatsu, and pregnancy massage, she will help you realign your energy and intention to help cultivate a rejuvenated spirit within yourself. She strives to help you blossom to your full potential and relieve the stresses of every day life with massage therapy and energy work.
Laura Kalman, LMT, Founder
Laura is a Nationally and State Certified Massage Therapist since 2005. In addition to running Metta since 2009, Laura has organized many wellness related projects, fundraisers, and community events, including the seasonal Community Energy Healing events at Baltimore Yoga Village, the Wellness Camp at Fields Festival 2016, The Baltimore Healing Music Project, and the former Heal Baltimore Project.
Since graduating from The Baltimore School of Massage in 2005, Laura has continually refined her skills to expand her therapeutic knowledge and better serve clients and communities. Her most influential trainings have been in Dynamic Body Balancing with Dr. Carol Phillips, Chi Nei Tsang as taught by Master Mantak Chia, Upledger’s Craniosacral Therapy, Plant Spirit Aromatherapy with Amy Meilman, and the Jivan Yoga Teacher Training with Anjali Sunita. Laura also studied Traditional Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand and is a long time student of the Sivananda Yoga lineage.
Drawing from various modalities such as Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Unwinding, deep tissue massage, Thai massage, Chi Nei Tsang, Reiki, Yoga, and Aromatherapy, Laura intuitively improvises bodywork to assist the neuromuscular, visceral, and energetic systems to release what no longer serves. Being supported in this way can make create greater ease in life as you practice to observe, experience, and release sensations as they arise, while learning from the qualities, stories, and lessons they hold.
