Acupuncture is a gentle yet powerful medicine involving the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body in order to relieve pain and bring balance to the whole person. Acupuncture activates the natural healing capacity inherent in each individual and has been proven effective over the course of thousands of years. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute for Health (NIH) endorse acupuncture as beneficial for many conditions. It strengthens the immune system and treats the root causes of disease and illness. Those who receive ongoing treatment often report improvements in vitality and stamina. They get sick less often and experience a deeper sense of peace and well-being which shows up in all areas of life.

Lauren E. Potts, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Lauren began exploring the world of energy healing in 2002 when she first started practicing Reiki.  She earned her Masters degree in acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute in 2007 and has also received training in Aroma Acupoint Therapy (™), which utilizes the energetic potential of essential oils to move and balance Qi, or energy.

Over time Lauren has developed a unique fusion of modalities, using the wisdom of Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements to guide her application of acupuncture, essential oils, and hands on energy work.  Lauren’s integrative approach provides her patients with a powerful healing experience. She is committed to helping her patients to align with and learn from the wisdom of their body and Spirit.  She creates a safe, connected and comfortable space, and partners with each patient to help guide them to their fullest expression of self and wellness.

In addition, Lauren has a particular passion for women’s reproductive health.   This passion was born out of a decade of experience as a trained birth doula supporting women in labor.  She is skilled in treating menstrual difficulties, fertility enhancement, supporting wellness and addressing common concerns through pregnancy and birth, and caring for postpartum and menopausal women.
When not seeing patients Lauren spends most of her time tending to and enjoying her two young children with her husband, and enjoys live music and dancing, hiking, reading and connecting with friends.  Lauren’s intention is to live her life as a joyful and loving dance with the Divine.
